THE RENTALS HAVE HAD ENOUGH: SPECIAL EDITION (DISCONTINUING SOON)
THE RENTALS HAVE HAD ENOUGH: SPECIAL EDITION is Apple43's signature 13-episode action-horror movie, visually reworked from the ground up with better VFX to more closely match his modern editing style. Same plot, same OST, and the same kick-ass fight scenes featured in the YouTube version, with the addition of TWENTY all-new bonus features including an exclusive documentary, a deleted scene mockup, four Rental Audio Logs which add to the original story, behind-the-scenes footage of Episodes 1-6, comparisons to the YouTube version, and more. In war, everyone loses.
DISCLAIMER: This film is a work of fiction. The views and actions of the characters do not represent those of the creator.
This film contains loud noises, depictions of extreme violence (without graphic gore) and non-consensual drug use. Viewer discretion is advised.
-
Before you ask, there is NO difference in the amount of content you will receive between the two quality versions of TRHHESE. You will receive the same movie regardless of which edition you buy.
-
During testing on the VLC Media Player, the ISO file of the 4K version (NOT THE DISC ITSELF) would cause small freezes and glitchy gray screens. It IS possible to watch Blu-Ray's on the VLC Media Player with an external Blu-Ray player, but doing so proves to be quite difficult and therefore is not recommended.
-
The 4K discs proved to be unreadable on non-4K Blu-Ray players. The 1080p discs worked perfectly, as expected.
-
There was no difference in loading speeds or max framerates to be found during testing between the 1080p discs and the 4K discs. The maximum speed the disc will play at depends on your hardware setup, not the discs.
-
TRHHESE was burned onto Blu-Ray discs and NOT standard DVDs, and therefore will not work on standard DVD players.
-
This product is being shipped directly from Apple43, all orders are FINAL and NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. International shipping speeds (including Alaska and Hawaii) will vary greatly. Apple43 is NOT and will NOT be held responsible if your order is seized by customs.

WHICH QUALITY EDITION SHOULD I BUY?
- That depends on your hardware setup, but it also depends on the type of viewing experience you want to have.
- First, hardware. If you're running an old Blu-Ray player or a last-gen video game console, then you'll likely have a lot of luck with the 1080p version. If you have a newer Blu-Ray player marked specifically with "4K ULTRA HD", or a current-gen video game console such as an Xbox Series X/S or a PlayStation 5, then your setup is compatible with the 4K discs. TRHHESE runs at 60FPS on both discs, so whatever your hardware setup consists of, make sure your monitor or TV runs at a bare minimum of 60hz.
- Second, viewing experience. Running a 4K disc on an old system that BARELY supports 4K will obviously cause problems, such as stutters, freezes, glitchy gray screens, and straight up crashes if your force your system to run hard. If you want to be ABSOLUTELY SURE that your TRHHESE disc will work in whatever system your throw it in, the 1080p version is the one you'll need. However, the 1080p version doesn't look as good as the 4K version, considering that a standard 1920x1080p screen holds four times less pixels than a standard 3840x2160p screen. If you watch the absolute best visual quality possible and you know your system can handle it, the 4K version is for you.
- TL;DR: The 1080p version will work in whatever Blu-Ray player you have, but the 4K version will be better for you if your hardware is built for it.
